BARK IN THE PARK 2007

Sunday, 30 September from 1-5 pm
Ft. Toulouse in Wetumpka


Bring your pet and join in the fun as we will have something for everyone!

All pets must be good in public around other animals, children and adults, leashed and have a current rabies tag on their collars in accordance with Alabama State Law.

We will pull the winning tickets at 4 pm, 30 Sep at Ft. Toulouse, Wetumpka at our Bark in the Park. The lucky persons can win any one of the following prizes:

MR. KEN DARNELL, Bioactive Laboratories, Tallassee
Will have a display of venomous snakes to discuss their importance not only to nature, but to humans as well - he will do real-life ‘milking’ of these venomous snakes at 2 pm and 3 pm and all the venom milked on Sunday will go to medical research for such things as blood pressure and anti-clotting medicines.

ADOPTABLE DOGS
We will bring a few of our great dogs to join the fun and hopefully go home as the newest family member for a wonderful home!
(Please understand that we can’t bring our kitties as we wouldn’t want to lose any if they got scared and were to get loose in the park)



ADMISSION
$2 admission fee for those 13 and older and we will have someone at the gate of Ft. Toulouse to take money and give you a map and schedule of the events. All dogs must be leashed, good in public and have a current rabies tag on their collar.


In the event of severe weather, the backup date for Bark in the Park is  Sunday, 7 October, still at Ft. Toulouse.


Directions to Bark in the Park 2007


From Birmingham - take I-65 south. Exit at Exit 181 East on Hwy 14 to Millbrook and Wetumpka. Stay on 14 and follow the directions above from Millbrook. Take Hwy 14 all the way to Wetumpka (about 17 miles) and where Hwy 14 intersects Hwy 231 (it is traffic-lighted). Turn right (south) onto Hwy 231. Stay on 231 south for 3 miles and there will be a lighted intersection with a Wachovia bank on the left and you will be turning right onto Ft. Toulouse Road which also has a large US Post Office on the right.  Just stay on Ft. Toulouse Road and you will come right through the front gate to our event.
 
From Montgomery - take Hwy 231 north to Wetumpka.  Pass the Wal-Mart on the right and come to a lighted intersection with a Wachovia bank on the right (across the intersection) and you will be turning left onto Ft. Toulouse Road which also has a large US Post Office on the right.  Just stay on Ft. Toulouse Road and you will come right through the front gate to our event.
