Education is a very important part of our mission. We often have school groups visit the shelter and love going to schools or to groups to give presentations on Safety around Animals and/or Responsible Pet Ownership. These classes can be tailored to fit the age group and generally take no more than one hour. With the voluntary help of some very supportive members of the Montgomery Kennel Club we can also bring in some great dogs if wanted. Any of these dogs are what we kind of call “bomb proof” in public settings and are great for children to get to know. We are certainly not limited to schools and are available to speak to most any group on a variety of pet related topics or our mission and role in the community.
