Below is a Rotty the shelter had that was a cruelty case. He was found tied to a barb-wire fence using barb wire as a collar and leash (his neck was treated by Dr. Brooks), very skinny, with no food and only rainwater available to him. The owner was convicted of cruelty to animals and this wonderful lady from Southern States Rottweiler Rescue took him in. You can see that they treated him for heartworms, neutered him, are training him and are now looking for the perfect home for him!
Hello, My Name is Barry. I am two years old. I am a Big Boy with a Big Heart. I am Cat friendly, though the Cat that lives with me doesn't seem to like me. I'm crate trained, that's where I sleep. I'll need an extra large crate. I have two Foster Dog Brothers. One is a Black Lab mix & the other is an old blonde fluffy Dog. I also have a Foster Rottie Sister. I get along with all three. I am housebroken, so far. I wasn't housebroken when I first moved in. I enjoy playing fetch & wrestling with Big Stuffed Toys. I am a fast & eager learner, I listen to corrections, & I aim to please. I will be going to obedience class with my Foster Mom soon. I was a victim of a cruelty case & my freedoms were limited. I was also heartworm positive & I went through the tough treatment.
